Black Flower is the supergroup around musicians who have worked with bands like - wait for it - Stavroz, Dijf Sanders, Echoes of Zoo, Beck, Calexico, MDC III, Stadt, The Bear Vultures, Lee Perry, John Ghost.

The combination of this talented gang guarantees a hypnotic mix of Ethio Jazz, Afrobeat, Oriental and Dub. Fans of John Zorn, Fela Kuti and Mulatu Astatke can already start warming up!

Their debut album Abyssinia Afterlife (W.E.R.F. records) was an instant hit. Together with bands like STUFF. and Schnitzl, Black Flower was part of the 'new wave of Belgian jazz'. Now, 10 years and 5 albums later, they can count big names like Gilles Peterson and Gaslamp Killer among their fans.

After the rich Magma (2023), Kinetic was released earlier this year. A dyke of an album and, if Written In Music is to be believed, "an album that, like their previous albums, feels like the very best they have ever made"
