To Persia

On this Sunday morning, be surprised by the rich Persian culture full of poetry, philosophy and music. For example, in the twelfth century, the Iranian mystic and poet Attar Neishabouri described the life cycle of the phoenix in the book The Conversation of Birds.

Shahab Azinmehr translated this mythology into music and Josse de Pauw worked with the words. With the addition of Nathan Daems, Farnoosh Khodadadeh and Seraphine Stragier, The Song of the Phoenix was born. A song about the beauty of life, death and a triumphant resurrection from the ashes.
