From the sultry Latin crooner-pop of 'Ghostboy' to the deep, introspective tones of 'This Marauder's Midnight' to the Spanish Latin classics of 2021's 'Flore', Gabriel Ríos has taken a varied path. On his sixth album, Playa Negra, he delves deeper into his roots - more authentically than ever before.
After experimenting with covers on Flore, Ríos has now found his own voice as a Spanish-speaking artist. In all his contradictions, he poses more vulnerably and openly than ever before, in a language he now dares to share with the outside world. In his own words, "Why go back to English when in Spanish you can finally sound like you really are?"
This singer-songwriter performs honest and pure songs. With her pure voice full of emotion, she sends songs out into the world that resonate for a long time. Her two singles have been played on Radio 1 and Klara and she has earned her spurs live at festivals such as Dranouter, Campo Solar and the Gentse Feesten.
After opening for Sunny War and Isbells, she recently played a sold-out AB supporting Gabriel Rios. Together with Gaëtan Vandewoude (Isbells) she is working on and will present her EP (end of 2024).
