An occasional trio with three remarkable musical friends of the unsurpassed Russian composer Alfred Schnittke. First and foremost, of course, is his wife Irina Schnittke, who will perform the Piano Sonata 2, dedicated to herself, tonight. Furthermore, Alexander Ivashkin, author of the biography of Schnittke, cellist of absolute integrity to whom Schnittke also dedicated work and one of the pillars of current musical life in Russia. Finally, Tatjana Grindenko, Russian violin diva and prima donna of world star Gidon Kremer. In this recital, three great talents playfully express their authentic loyalty to their mutual friend.
