Fragile indie pop - new album

The Isbells' acoustic folk sound has been compared to Nick Drake, Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver. On their sixth album, "and the noise settles," they pull out all the stops. From fragile voices and acoustic guitars to balanced horns, delicate percussion and an electronic veil. It gets under your skin and doesn't let go.

For the first time in his career, Gaëtan Vandewoude left the production to someone else: band member and good friend Chantal Acda. This fresh dynamic resulted in a spontaneous, warm and adventurous album where intuition and interplay are central. The rich instrumentation - from strings and horns to double bass and piano - marks a new chapter in their sophisticated folk universe. Come and see.
