The living legend Roland Van Campenhout turns 80 and we celebrate! Expect nothing less than an unforgettable evening oscillating between deep emotion, occasional silliness and pure craftsmanship. A stage full of musicians and friends - blues, folk and rock in their richest form.
With his guitar and voice, Roland takes you through his life's work, his passions and stories. Throughout the decades he has inspired several generations of musicians. Now, at the respectable age of 80, he continues to shine. It will be a unique and well-deserved tribute to an icon, a celebration of his rich legacy and a time to come together and enjoy music that touches the soul. Or as the man himself puts it best: Music izz dah healing force!
No party without guests, and Roland knows how to surround himself well. First, his regular band The Space Cowboys - loyal allies Teun Verbruggen, Mirko Banovic, Frederik Segers, Nicolas Mortelmans, Nils De Caster and his biggest associate Pieter-Jan De Smet.
As big cherries on top of this tasty birthday cake, guests include Geoffrey Burton (strings and pedals), Jan Decleir (master actor), Philip Catherine (master jazz guitarist), Stef Kamil Carlens (Zita Swoon and many more), bassist and rhythm rocker Bart Denolf, harmonica virtuoso Steven De Bruyn, guitarist Bruno Fevery (Arsenal), jazz trumpeter Bart Maris and cellist extraordinaire Benjamin Glorieux.
