World music and acts with walking dinner
Like the soup of the same name, Soirée Harira serves a warm mix of worldly ingredients and tastes. Together with various cultural communities from Ghent, we offer a diverse musical program in a relaxed and friendly family atmosphere.
An evening to celebrate the many stories and sounds of our city. And of course there will be a delicious buffet!
Line-up
The evening will be presented by favorite host and MC Rabah.
- Stalin Blake - This Syrian guitarist, singer and sound artist arrived in Belgium in 2010. Since then, he has played in venues such as the Beursschouwburg, AB and KVS, composed for all kinds of theater pieces and plays both solo and with his band Stalin Black. He combines traditional Kurdish maqams with flamenco, blues and experimentation.
- De Bioneers - This sunny band likes to be inspired by optimistic sounds, from the disco drums of the 70s to the more modern, funky rhythm guitar of Parcels. With four summer shirts and two unique singers, they color the stage in their own breezy style. In 2024 they won the 'Gentse Crochet' at the Ghent Festivals and the release of their debut EP "Word of the Day" ensured a sold out Charlatan - now it's Ha's turn!
- Eritrea All Stars - After arriving in Belgium a few years ago, Michaël quickly rose through the ranks as a musician. With his handmade "Krar" (a traditional hand harp from the Horn of Africa) and friends, his band is a favorite at Ethiopian and Eritrean evenings. They play a mixture of traditional and modern music from Ethiopia and Eritrea: very festive and wonderfully danceable.
- Seekaman band - This Ghanaian Afro-Reggae band was born in 2011 under the leadership of Abaa Poliwa aka Stick of Moses. After three records, the music took on more and more influences from Ghana: Afrobeat, Highlife, Soukous, ... Africa is never far away. Get ready for a real celebration with a melting pot of ambiance, power, wisdom, but above all, joy of life. A celebration of life.
