For fans of STUFF., Ezra Collective, BADBADNOTGOOD, ...
Anyone who says that jazz, progressive metal and electronica do not go together has obviously never heard of Sungazer. This duo from Brooklyn has been enchanting audiences all over the world with their infectious, danceable sound. They present their second album "Against the Fall of Night" with guest guitarist Mark Lettieri and Plini.
Bassist Adam Neely (check out his exploding Youtube channel) and drummer Shawn Crowder are also on board. Since their first EP release in 2014, they've carried the inner flame of past fusion greats while forging their own distinctive sound for the 21st century. In the process, they have hit the sweet spot of both the brain and the dance legs worldwide.
Are you an aspiring musician looking for a place to jam, make connections, and hone your sound? After certain concerts, the lobby transforms into a sweltering jazz club where the new generation of musicians mixes with the vibes of the big stage.
Each night, a different punishing band from the KASK & Conservatory opens the jam, and then the stage is open to everyone. Bring your own instrument, join in and make yourself heard! If you're lucky, the main act will stay for a while and you'll get to play with them.
Admission is free, separate from concert tickets
