In America, you have vast plains full of endless nature. Imagine a crackling campfire under a beautiful starry sky. Could the music of the Douglas Firs have originated there? They mix American roots music with indie folk and tell one story after another.

The new album "Happy Pt. 2" is about finding happiness after sorrow, like a rainbow after a storm. Together with his brother and a top-notch band, Gertjan van Hellemont creates music that comes straight from the heart - music that speaks of love, hope and adventure.
