Fun facts about the hall?

The most striking feature is that our concert floor can be lowered 6 meters. When the floor is lowered, we can fold out the theater seats. This makes the same hall suitable for standing room, club and theater concerts.

Historical fact: De Ha is located on the central Kouterplein in Ghent. Throughout the centuries, parades, markets and even jousting tournaments have taken place here. In the 18th century, the first part of the current building was constructed: a beautiful rococo pavilion, through which you enter the concert hall today.

In this first period, the building could even count Mozart among its guests. After all, he stayed in the beautiful but defunct hotel next door - perhaps the seeds of music were planted there?
